Girls Summer League Basketball Starts in 2008
Torresdale Boys Club again played Host for the 2008 NEPL Annual Joey F. Casey All Star event. This marked Our 10th Anniversary of the tourney remembering young Joey F. Casey. Games began on Friday evening with staggered 6 & 6:30 start times. Saturday saw a myriad of games in both the Softball and Baseball divisions as once again the members of the Torresdale Boys Club rose to the challenge of getting their fields in tiptop shape and playing as cordial hosts to the Northeast Peanut League as well as providing an excellent backdrop for our Awards Presentations.
TBC has a long history of success hosting events like the Lawley Football Tournament and they again rose to the occasion hosting our annual event.
The N.E.P.L would like to thank the Torresdale Boys Club, President John Giargiari along with the rest of the club members for their perseverance in helping promote and make this event the success it was.
